Sviyazhsk ou Zöyä est une localité de la république du Tatarstan, en Russie, située au confluent de la Volga et de la Sviaga. Depuis 1955, elle est située sur une île après la construction du réservoir de Kouïbychev sur la Volga.
Sviajsk a été fondée en forteresse en 1551 par Ivan le Terrible, elle a été construite en quatre semaines. Elle était un centre de christianisation des Tatars.

Sviyazhsk was founded by Ivan The Terrible in 1551 as a fortress, which was built within four weeks. It was a center of Christianity of the Tatars.
