Vigan

Vigan se situe sur l'île de Luçon aux Philippines. C'est une ville presque intacte depuis l'époque coloniale espagnole. Elle fut fondée au XVIè siècle et elle conserve depuis ses rues pavées et une superbe son architecture mélange les styles asiatique et européen. C'est un paysage urbain sans équivalent en Extrême-Orient. Vigan est inscrite au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.

Vigan is located on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. It is a city almost intact since the Spanish colonial era. It was founded in the sixteenth century and it retains from its cobbled streets and beautiful architecture blends Asian and European styles. It is a townscape without parallel anywhere in East Asia. Vigan is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Rizières en terrasses

Depuis 2000 ans, les rizières d'altitude des Ifugao épousent les courbes des montagnes. Elles ont été construites à mains nues en utilisant seulement des outils primitifs. This magnificient postcard shows us Banaue rice terraces in Philippines. This rice terraces are found in the central Cordillera mountain range in province of Ifugao. For 2,000 years, the high rice fields of the Ifugao have followed the contours of the mountains. These were built just using primitive tools and bare hands. The fruit of knowledge handed down from one generation to the next, and the expression of sacred traditions, have helped to create a landscape of great beauty. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Fort Santiago

Aujourd'hui, j'ai reçu cette carte des Philippines. Fort Santiago est une citadelle située à Manille, la capitale des Philippines. Elle est intégrée à la ville fortifiée de Manille appelée Intramuros («dans les murs»). Le fort est l'un des plus importants sites historiques de Manille. José Rizal, le héros national, a été emprisonné ici avant son exécution en 1896. Le musée sanctuaire Rizal exposes de nombreux souvenirs du héros.

Today I received this card from the Philippines. Fort Santiago is a citadel in Manila, the capital city of the Philippines. It is part of the walled city of Manila referred to as Intramuros ("within the walls"). The fort is one of the most important historical sites in Manila. José Rizal, the Philippines' national hero, was imprisoned here before his execution in 1896. The Rizal Shrine museum displays memorabilia of the hero.

Son écosystème repose sur des falaises de calcaire datant de 250 millions d'années, il compte 888 espèces de poissons, 447 espèces de coraux, 114 espèces d'oiseaux, 5 espèces de tortues marines et 2645 hectares de forêt de mangrove.

El Nido is a municipality and a protected area in the northernmost part of province of Palawan in the Philippines. It is about 420 kilometres (260 mi) southwest of Manila. Its ecosystem contains 250 million year-old limestone cliffs, 888 species of fish, 447 species of coral, 114 species of bird, 5 species of marine turtle and 2,645 hectares of mangrove forest.
