Lübeck

Lübeck se trouve dans le nord de l'Allemagne. La ville fut fondée au 12ème siècle et a prospéré jusqu'au 16ème siècle e étant le carrefour commercial le plus important d'Europe du Nord. Malgré les dommages qu'elle a subis durant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, la structure de base de la vieille ville, principalement constituée de demeures patriciennes du 15ème et du 16ème siècle, les monuments publics, les églises et les greniers à sel, ont été préservés. La ville de Lübeck est très connue pour les sept tours de ses cinq principales églises : la Cathédrale Dom et Saint-Marien avec 2 tours, St. Petri, St. Jakobi et St. Aegidien avec 1 tour. La ville est inscrite au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.

Lübeck is in the North of Germany. The town was founded in the 12th century and prospered until the 16th century as the major trading centre for northern Europe. Despite the damage it suffered during the Second World War, the basic structure of the old city, consisting mainly of 15th- and 16th-century patrician residences, public monuments, churches and salt storehouses, remains unaltered. The city of Lübeck is very known for its seven towers of the five main churches of the city : Cathedral Dom and St. Marien with 2 towers, St. Petri, St. Aegidien and St. Jakobi with 1 tower. The city is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
