With its slopes planted with vineyards, idyllic villages and some 40 castles, it is the epitome of romantic Rheilandschaft. Since 2002, the Upper Middle Middle Rhine Valley between Bingen/Rüdesheim and Koblenz is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
