Burg Lichtenberg

Le château de Lichtenberg (en allemand : Burg Lichtenberg) est long de 425 m. C'est le plus grand château en ruine d'Allemagne. Il se trouve près de Thallichtenberg en Rhénanie-Palatinat.
Il a été construit vers 1200 et a appartenu successivement aux comtes de Veldenz, puis aux ducs de Palatinat-Zweibrücken. Le château n'a jamais été conquis ou détruits par des attaques. Il a été gravement endommagé par un incendie le 26 Octobre 1799.

Lichtenberg Castle (German: Burg Lichtenberg) has a length of 425m and is the biggest castle ruin of Germany. It is located near Thallichtenberg in the district of Kusel in Rhineland-Palatinate.
The castle was built around 1200 and was owned afterwards by the counts of Veldenz and by the dukes of Palatinate-Zweibrücken. The castle was never conquered or destroyed by assaults. It was severely damaged by a large fire on 26 October 1799.

Rainbow Falls

Aujourd'hui, une carte postale des Etats-Unis. Les Rainbow Falls sont des chutes d'eau sur le plateau Cumberland près du sommet de Signal Mountain à Chattanooga, au Tennessee.
Chattanooga, situé à la base du plateau de Cumberland, est un site où les cascades naturelles abondent, comme celle-ci sur Signal Mountain.

Chattanooga, located at the base of the Cumberland Plateau, is abundant with natural waterfalls such as this scene on Signal Mountain.

Groningen, avec une population d'environ 190 000 habitants, est de loin la plus grande ville du nord des Pays-Bas. C’est une ville universitaire, qui a la population la plus jeune des Pays-Bas (environ 50 000 étudiants) ..Son histoire est longue et mouvementée, en témoignent les entrepôts, les tribunaux et les bâtiments de la ville. Groningen, with a population of around 190,000, is by far the largest city in the north of the Netherlands. Groningen is a university city, it has the youngest average population in the Netherlands (about 50,000 students).. It has a long and turbulent history, which becomes evident from the historic warehouses, courts and buildings. Groningen is also a city with nerve, with the most numerous examples of innovative architecture within its boundaries. In addition, it was once proclaimed the city with the best city centre in the Netherlands because of its charm.

Singapore Philatelic Museum

Une carte du musée philatélique de Singapour. A l’occasion de l’année du lapin, ce musée a sollicité les membres de postcrossing pour leur adresser des cartes postales de lapins. Le musée organise une exposition des cartes postales et plis philatéliques reçus, sur le thème du Lapin, de février à septembre 2011.
J’ai envoyé la carte de lapin ci-dessous, et j’ai reçu en échange cette carte annonçant l’exposition affranchie par le musée philatélique.

A postcard from the Singapore Philatelic Museum. To mark the Year of the Rabbit, the museum has asked members of postcrossing to send them postcards of rabbits. The museum hosts an exhibition of postcards and received stamps collection on the theme of the Rabbit, from February to September 2011.
I sent the card of rabbit below, and I received this card in exchange stamped by the Philatelic Museum.

Waddenzee

La mer des Wadden (Waddenzee en néerlandais) est une mer côtière qui s'étend le long du littoral de la mer du Nord entre Esbjerg au Danemark et Den Helder aux Pays-Bas. Elle s’étend sur environ 10 000 km² (500 km de long et 20 km de large en moyenne).
Depuis le 26 juin 2009, certaines parties de la mer des Wadden en Allemagne et aux Pays-Bas sont inscrites sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.

Wadden Sea (Waddenzee in Dutch) is a sea coast that stretches along the coastline of the North Sea between Esbjerg in Denmark and Den Helder in the Netherlands. It covers about 10 000 km ² (500 km long and 20 km wide on average).
Since June 26, 2009, parts of the Wadden Sea in Germany and the Netherlands are on the World Heritage List of UNESCO.

Kangourou

Ma toute première carte d'Australie. Il s'agit d'un magnifique kangourou roux.
Le kangourou roux est le plus grand de tous les kangourous et le plus grand marsupial vivant. On le retrouve à travers toute l'Australie, évitant seulement les secteurs plus fertiles dans le sud, la côte est et les forêts tropicales nordiques.

My first card from Australia ! It's showing a beautiful red Kangaroo.
The red kangaroo is the largest of all kangaroos, and the largest surviving marsupial. It is found across mainland Australia, avoiding only the more fertile areas in the south, the east coast, and the northern rainforests.
