Burg Lichtenberg

Le château de Lichtenberg (en allemand : Burg Lichtenberg) est long de 425 m. C'est le plus grand château en ruine d'Allemagne. Il se trouve près de Thallichtenberg en Rhénanie-Palatinat.
Il a été construit vers 1200 et a appartenu successivement aux comtes de Veldenz, puis aux ducs de Palatinat-Zweibrücken. Le château n'a jamais été conquis ou détruits par des attaques. Il a été gravement endommagé par un incendie le 26 Octobre 1799.

Lichtenberg Castle (German: Burg Lichtenberg) has a length of 425m and is the biggest castle ruin of Germany. It is located near Thallichtenberg in the district of Kusel in Rhineland-Palatinate.
The castle was built around 1200 and was owned afterwards by the counts of Veldenz and by the dukes of Palatinate-Zweibrücken. The castle was never conquered or destroyed by assaults. It was severely damaged by a large fire on 26 October 1799.
