Orhid

Voici ma première carte de la République de Macédoine. Orhid est une ville sur la rive orientale du lac d'Ohrid qui compte environ 56 000 habitants. La carte montre 6 églises d'Ohrid: St. Jean le Divin, Sainte-Sophie, Saint-Nahum, La Sainte Mère de Dieu Peribleptos, Saint-Clément et Saint-Zaum. Il y a 365 églises dans la ville ! Orhid est ainsi appelée la «Jérusalem des Balkans». Ohrid et le lac d'Ohrid sont inscrits comme patrimoine culturel et naturel par l'UNESCO.

This is my first postcard from the Republic of Macedonia. Orhid is a city on the eastern shore of Lake Ohrid and has about 56,000 inhabitants. The card shows 6 churches of Ohrid : St. John the Divine, St. Sophia, St Nahum, The Holy Mother of God Peribleptos, St Clement and St Zaum. There are 365 churches in the city! Orhid has been referred to as a "Jerusalem (of the Balkans)". Ohrid and Lake Ohrid are UNESCO Cultural and Natural World Heritage Sites.
