Hongcun

Cette carte montre la salle principale du manoir Chengzhi à Hongcun. Xidi et Hongcun sont deux villages inscrits au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO car ils ont conservé l'aspect qu'ils avaient au XIXè siècle : le tracé des rues, leur architecture et les décorations et un remarquable réseau d'alimentation en eau. Le manoir Chengzhi, appelé aussi palais impérial bien qu'il n'ait rien d'impérial, a été construit par un marchand de sel. Il couvre une superficie de plus de deux mille mètres carrés. Il est construit en briques et en bois. Le bâtiment est connu comme le Musée des beaux-arts de Sculpture surtout à cause de ses nombreuses poutres, portes et fenêtres entièrement sculptées.

This postcard shows the main hall of the mansion Chengzhi in Hongcun. Xidi and Hongcun villages are both World Heritage of UNESCO because they retained the appearance they had in the nineteenth century: the layout of streets, architecture and decorations and a remarkable network of water supply. The manor Chengzhi, also known as the Imperial Palace although he has nothing Imperial, was built by a salt merchant. It covers an area of more than two thousand square meters. It is built of brick and wood. For his many sculptures in the beams, doors and windows, the building is known as the Museum of Fine Arts Sculpture.
