Panda géant

Aujourd'hui, un panda géant ! Il s'agit d'une sorte d'ours originaire du centre-ouest et du sud-ouest de la Chine. Son alimentation se compose à 99 % de bambou. Le panda géant vit dans quelques chaînes de montagnes dans le centre de la Chine, principalement dans la province du Sichuan, mais aussi dans les provinces du Shaanxi et du Gansu. Il vit habituellement environ 20 ans à l'état sauvage et jusqu'à 30 ans en captivité. Nous sommes honorés d'avoir deux pandas géants en France. La Chine les a prêtés à la France pour 10 ans. Ils vivent au zoo de Beauval et s'appelent Yuan Zi (rondouillard) et Huan Huan (Joyeuse). Ils sont arrivés en France le 15 Janvier 2012 et ont été accueillis comme des stars à l'aéroport. Un Boeing 777 a été spécialement affrété pour eux.

This is a giant panda. It is a bear native to central-western and south western China. The panda's diet is 99% bamboo. The giant panda lives in a few mountain ranges in central China, mainly in Sichuan province, but also in the Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. The giant panda typically lives around 20 years in the wild and up to 30 years in captivity. We are honored to have two giant pandas in France. China lends them to France for 10 years. They live in the zoo of Beauval. They are called Yuan Zi (chubby) and Huan Huan (happy). They arrived in France on 15 January 2012 and were greeted like rock stars at the airport. A Boeing 777 has been specially chartered for them.
