Cet oléoduc de pétrole brut est une propriété privée, il appartient àl'Alyeska Pipeline Service Company. L'oléoduc a été construit entre 1974 et 1977 non sans difficultés, liées principalement au froid extrême et au terrain isolé et difficile d'accès.

The diameter of the pipeline is 48 inches (1.22 m). It conveys oil from Prudhoe Bay, to Valdez, crossing Alaska. The crude oil pipeline is privately owned by the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company. The pipeline was built between 1974 and 1977 with a lot of difficulties, stemming mainly from the extreme cold and the difficult, isolated terrain.
